Prince Edward Island

PEI is renowned for its beauty.  Its most notable feature is fields and shores of red soil, reminiscent of South Devon in England.  In the Spring, many of the fields are freshly ploughed and planted to potatoes.  Before the new plants emerge, the red fields are set amidst and outlined by green grass borders.

Spring in PEI, then, is an abundance of gardens, flowering chestnut trees, red fields, harbours,  boats, lobster and crab traps, wind generators and the sea.
